Yacht Project: Icing the cake!

This gorgeous multimillion dollar motor yacht contacted us to put the finishing touches on this already magnificent boat.  We started with lots of orchids! This arrangement holds one dozen live white phalaenopsis orchids, a dozen juncea air plants, and a dozen pink blooming stricta air plants. They are all planted into our white sorrento bowl. Adjacent to the orchid arrangement we placed two overscaled Special Edition Assouline books: Rolex and Windows At Tiffany.  At the main dining table they requested an impressive but narrow arrangement that would still allow the beauty of the table show.  So we used our 4' long plate glass planter, we lined it completely with moss and carefully planted 16 white phalaenopsis orchids, added 6 tall juncea airplants, a dozen pink...

Commission: Decadent Dining

This client wanted a dramatic element to this dining room which was anchored on one end with a oversized built in cabinet. On the wall with the cabinet we scaled the planting smaller opting for a papyrus grass. Inside of a 31" tall ceramic tapered container we placed a 5' tall papyrus grass into the far corner of the container and then placed two 3' tall papyrus grasses on the sides closer to the room. This layered the effect of the blooms on the grasses and created more fullness. We finished off with a layer of polished black river stone to complete the arrangements. Fan Mail Friday: Copper Water Garden

We received these photos from a design partner, who used our faux plants to create this beautiful faux water garden. He used our faux horsetail grass, along with mixed faux succulents then added his own mix of tumbled and polished river stone to create a creek bed. The garden which is set into a gorgeous copper waffle pot, brings needed "life" and creates a focal point in this unique space. Let us know what you think!
